First Aid/Emergency Camping List- The First Aid Kit list could be the most important part of the camping checklist. Use waterproof containers for matches, maps, and anything else that should stay dry. If you have small kids you may want to get a gate that you can put around the fire to keep them at a safer distance.

Logistics Camping List- If you're camping in the backcountry make sure you let friends and rangers know your plans and schedule. If you have a satellite phone, walkie talkie, or cell phone (consider range) give them your contact information and get theirs too. Tell them what your car looks like and give them the license number.
